How to create your own Half Black color line.

Many people keep solid colors in the guppy hobby. They get the nice color and the better dorsals and tail fins. But after they accomplish that they probaly want to get a little deeper. By starting a half black line you can increase the size in your fish so they can get closer to a " Best Of Show " award. But in order to do it you have to know how. To start your own half black line you take your solid male and hit it to a half black female. This will give you a half black whatever color the male was. But you may not get your perfect fish right away. You have to contine breeding the father to the daughter and that will improve the color. After you get babies from the daughter you want to find your nicest male out of that drop and hit it to the best sister it has. This will improve your strain. It may take a few generations but at the end you may win a " Best of Show " at the next show.

Another way you can do this by making the colors ligher you can hit any solid male to a half black pastel. It will give out a half black whatever but the color may be lighter. After you get the fry hit the best male to the best female out of that drop. Never hit the original solid back until your color is fading on them. When yu notice this just hit the solid male to the female and there you go.

I hope you have fun making your own half black line.
